Severing All Ties

Not only was there a four-way tie for second place (or third equal as it transpired, score pendants) but we also had a tie on 41 points for top spot this evening at The Nightingale. Then it took not one tiebreaker, not two tiebreakers but THREE tiebreakers to separate 'Tryouts For The Human Race' and 'Stephen Hawking's Football Boots'. Both teams deserved metaphorical high-fives for entertainment value and quizzing excellence, but it was the latter who eventually claimed victory and the £40 winner's bar tab. As Robert the Bruce famously put it, "if at first you don't succeed, try, try and try again". Not entirely sure he was talking about pub quiz tiebreaker questions but still, fair point, Bob ...
