‘Big Boar Things’ bring home the bacon!!!
After a few weeks break from Tuesday night trivia at the 'Grape & Grain' I thought I’d run into some technical difficulties. Turns out the PA works much better when it’s plugged in and turned on.
Just prior to the 7pm start the turn out seemed a little disappointing. Then I remembered that 'Moorabbinites' can be a fashionably late bunch and they poured in just in the nick of time.
I must say that while I enjoy every Tuesday night at The wonderful Grape & Grain, this particular night was without doubt my favourite!
The room was pumping, craft beer was flowing and there was also a special guest appearance by Edward, the pasty yet ever so handsome vampire from the Twilight series. Ok so, it wasn’t really Edward but if there was an Edward look alike contest (no doubt there has been) then I’m sure this guy win. Or at the very least get a special mention.
The contest was very close. Only a few points separating the top five teams. There can only be one winner, and there was. Not that we go to trivia to win. We go to drink piss, engage in conversation with friends old and new, learn a thing or two and then brag about how knowledgeable we think we are. All part of the fun!
So, if you’ve somehow stumbled across this little blog and happen to live in Moorabbin or its surrounding suburbs and ever thought to yourself “Gee, I wish there was a bottle shop I could go to that also has a fine selection of delicious craft beer on tap and allows me to consume my beverage of choice inside the venue while eating take away food and being entertained by a handsome and occasionally amusing quiz master” then The Grape & Grain is directly up your alley.
