Aussies fail to win again!

Jon B

After the Easter break, the Colton Arms was back in business with a busy night, and 9 teams fighting it out to be the new Champions. 'John and his Harem' took an early lead with a strong first half, with 'The Ball Tampering Convicts' keeping them company at the top of the leaderboard, proving that the teams of two can still compete and that not all Australians need to…bend the rules! However, the second half saw one of the Harem snatch the bonus point for a quickly solved anagram, and despite a strong second half from the sinister titled 'Knife Cri-me a River', 'John and his Harem' were too good, finishing with a spectacular 39 points. The envelope question asked how tall was the Sydney Harbour Bridge, and the Aussies in the pub needed little guesswork to nail an answer only 5m out, but failed to find the winning envelop that was subtly hidden…on the top. AGAIN! Too easy, and the jackpot moves up towards £250!
