Tie-break, tie-break

Richard L

After a busy and lively quiz last night at the popular Eagle in London's Hoxton, two teams ended with the top score of 41 points.
Quizmaster Richard Linton decided to be democratic and let the people decide, so two possible scenarios were put before the packed venue; A tie-break question after which one team would win the £184 pot, or split the money between the two top scoring teams.
Richard posed the question and almost before he had finished explaining the two scenarios, a chant of "Tie-break, tie-break" could be heard getting louder and louder so that in the end a tie-break question was read and the team that came nearer to guessing the number of times the UK would fit into Australia (32 times) ended a busy night with a win of £184 to 'The Feline Fixers'.
In the City next Wednesday evening? Why not pop in and join the fun! The quiz starts at 7:30pm.
