Berkhamsted, a hot bed of extreme factions and splinter groups!

Nick H

Well, so it would seem as we had teams not necessarily competing for the prizes but between themselves! Firstly we had the "Judean Peoples Front" who were more interested in getting the better of their splinter group, the "Peoples front of Judea", which they achieved by score, but not by prizes as the later took the £20 bar and food voucher prize for coming second last. Then we had the males of "BTC" (Berkhamsted Theatre Group) who were likewise intent on getting the better of "Chessless", the females, the outcome of which was never in doubt with the ladies prevailing. Then we had "Any Danger?" who were aging trying to get the better of any team to come second last! Needless to say they failed again .... but were great fun as always.

In terms of who won the quiz and the rolling jackpot cash prize currently standing at £150, "The Fab 4, Potentially 5" along with "Dogslobber Bogtrotter" and "Chessless" played with humility and discretion with the former prevailing by 3 and 4 points respectively to take the £40 bar and food voucher first prize. The "Peoples front of Judea" again bettered their splinter group by winning the opportunity to draw from the remaining Jackpot envelopes. Like their score however, in picking envelope number 4 they made a poor strategic decision winning el zippo.

So, the Jackpot cash prize rolls over to next when we do it all again on Wednesday 11th April; 7.00pm for a 7.30pm start - it's best to book in advance to secure a table on 01442 285480.
