Home renovation is obviously good therapy for quizzing
Having (regretfully) not seen 'One stinking bishop and a laughing cow' for a few weeks as it transpires they have had to concentrate their efforts on rectifying a few issues with their home, they certainly reappeared with a bang scoring 2 points more that their nearest rivals and in so doing taking the evening's £40 bar and food voucher first prize.
Last weeks winners of the second to last prize, "Wrong Direction, this week bolstered their team with additional players from Liverpool and in so doing started the evening very confidently with the intention of winning this weeks first prize. Suffice to say they came second to last once again and although they picked the £20 bar and food voucher prize, targeting the first prize may need a re-think going forward.
The answer to the question asking what propels a punt is of course a pole, but it threw up an interesting point from Will ("Standing Room Only") who answered a long stick as they asked how one would describe a pole: a long stick, and similarly how would you describe a long stick: a pole. Difficult to argue against!
Although the £150 cash jackpot prize was played for, it was again not won and therefore rolls over to next week's quiz - same place, same time: the Highwayman in Berkhamsted on Wednesday 22nd November, 7.00pm for a 7.30 start - best to book a table in advance on 01442 285480 to assure your place.Disclaimer: Blog posts are written by our Quiz hosts.
