"Quizby Duck and Pancakes" prove a good combination
With a lead of by 3 points at half-way, new team "My Fair Ladies" looked odds-on to prevail at this weeks quiz night at the Highwayman in Berkhamsted, but were ultimately piped at the post by "Quizby Duck and Pancakes" with "The Round Table" ever improving in 3rd place.
Albeit reluctant to mention them, the quizmaster was forced to announce "Crouching woman, hidden cucumber" as winners of the 2nd prize after beating "Djamel" in a tiebreak.
Once again the single word anagram question always seems to reveal new words mysteriously not in the Oxford English Dictionary; on this occasion "resaved"!!
As well as "My Fair Ladies" and the unmentionable "Crouching woman .............etc.", we were graced by the delightful presence of "A Blonde Moment" who once again saved (or is it resaved?) the blushes of the winners by keeping their score anonymous.Disclaimer: Blog posts are written by our Quiz hosts.
