The Beast Of The East Was No Match For "Steve's Girls"
Seven teams made it through the drifting snow and extreme temperatures to battle over this evening prizes and the Jackpot Cash prize of £128.50. It was all change for "Steve's Girls" coming bottom last week, but top this week therefore taking the £40 bar and food voucher first prize. So, what was the difference? Well, "Steve's Girls" were magnificent this week ........... at clearing the snow, but it has to be said Steve was present this week and not present last week! What more can I say?
Teams "Blondie" and "Quiz in my Pants" battled for the £20 bar and food voucher second prize. Although "Blondie" got the right answer, "Quiz in my Pants" took the prize! - a conundrum for next weeks - no no, an imperial to metric conversion administrative error after the award of the prize rectified by a drink on the house. A lesson to be learnt perhaps when dealing with Mr Barnier.
"Blondie" did however win the opportunity to draw from the three remaining Jackpot cash prize envelopes (envelopes 1, 4, & 10). In however selecting envelope number 4 - there is no easy way of saying it - they got nothing. The Jackpot therefore increases to £138 and rolls over to next weeks Quiz Night: Tuesday 6th March, 7.00pm for a 7.30pm start.Disclaimer: Blog posts are written by our Quiz hosts.
