Pimms O'Clock

Michael B

It was a quizzing clean sweep for 'In-Spectre James Bond' this week at The Nightingale. Two weeks after pocketing the jackpot of almost £400 (under a different team name), they returned to the scene of their famous victory and not only bagged the £40 bar tab as quiz champions, but also a jug of Pimms in the jackpot round. After all, nothing says autumn in foggy, grey South London quite like a pitcher of Pimms.

More importantly, the packet of crisps for the team in second-last was won by 'We'll Be Home At 10', a team of two who sportingly decided they'd better take part only when they realised they were sitting directly in front of the microphone speaker. You can run, but you can't hide ...

My 'favourite' (and I use the term loosely) answer of the evening came from The Fugly Four who, upon being presented with an outline of France, identified the city marked with a dot as Munich. Perhaps they'd been on the Pimms too?

A bientôt, as they say in Germany ...
