Stephen Hawking's Boots Were Made For Quizzing ...

Michael B

'Stephen Hawking's Football Boots' made a welcome return to winning ways this week after a relatively modest 2017 by their exceedingly high standards. That said, they did it the hard way, pipping 'Rough As' in the tiebreaker after finishing on 40 big ones each. The latter were only a two person team, making their Nightingale quizzing debut, so hopefully the runners-up bottle of house red took the edge off any lingering disappointment.

There were more questions than answers in tonight's quiz seemingly - what's the difference between a dressing gown and a kimono? What's the difference between a sea, an ocean and a gulf? If bananas grow up, as opposed to down, surely that depends on which end of the banana is considered the top and which is the bottom ...

I'm off to lie down in a darkened room. See you next time ...
