Three’s a Crowd In First Place

Peter C

Well what do ya know? My first quiz at the wonderful Waverley Arms ended in a tie for first place between not two, but THREE very talented quiz teams.

Energy levels were high as 53 players spread over 15 teams descended on Nunhead’s cosiest boozer. Some tough questions this week led to a relatively low set of scores - the average lying somewhere around 30/48.

But that is not to take away from the magnificent performance of ‘That’s a Nice Dog’ (38/48), who came within 14 of guessing the number of Agatha Christie novels (there’s 66) to win the tiebreaker and take home the £40 bar tab. Their name alone would be worthy of a shoutout - it truly was a nice dog.

Thanks for having me Waverley Arms! Hope to see you again soon...
